Tumblr just raised $85 million due to it’s pageviews. Since the beginning of the year it jumped from 2 billion a mounth to 13 billion. It is adding 40 million posts a day and already has 10 billion posts. 72 million visitors a month visits the site. Tumblr has bigger pageview than Wikipedia right now. Tumblr is designed in such way that it generates a lot of internal traffic between members.
To get a full image of the numbers provided by comScore let’s have a look at more detailed information. In August Tumblr reached 100 the most visited sited (number 99) with 41 million unique visitors. But 6.5 billoin’s pageview a month makes it in the 21th position among all sites ranked by that metric. For example Wikimedia Foundation sites (including Wicipedia.org) get 423 million unique visitors a month (5.6 pageview).
