Apple and Samsung will discuss ways to end patent war

CEO of Apple and Samsung have agreed to meet in court to discuss ways to resolve a patent conflict that lasts for about a year, which is associated with competition in the mobile electronics market, said an expert on patent law Florian Mueller blog Foss Patents. The talks, which the court appointed, shall be held within 90 days in San Francisco. Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Ji-Sung Choi of Samsung will meet in the presence of legal counsel of their companies and the judge Joseph Spero (Joseph C. Spero).

Mueller notes that the parties' agreement to negotiate does not mean that there will be a compromise. The expert reminds, as the court attempted to resolve the conflict Oracle and Google, which, however, failed.

Massive opposition to the patent Apple and Samsung is from the spring of 2011. The conflict had unleashed an American company, accusing South Korean competitor to "slavishly" copy the technology and design the iPhone and tablet iPad. Samsung said claims, incriminating Apple's unlawful use of a number of important technologies. Companies have filed against each other dozens of lawsuits in courts in different countries around the world.
