Labels appear on a mobile phone with a radiation level

Buyers of mobile phones in the U.S. will be able to recognize how harmful your favorite model of mobile devices.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich has proposed a new federal law mandating that phone manufacturers to place on a mobile device warning labels about the level of radiation.

It is believed that the industry would oppose any labels on the phones as well as an indication, for example, the relatively high levels of radiation can deter consumers from purchasing certain models of phones.

In addition, the bill called the Cell Phone Right to Know Act initiated a national research program that will study the impact of mobile phones on human health. Office of the U.S. Environmental Protection will be obliged to update the already outdated rating system parameters SAR (Specific Absorption Rate), determining the level of radiation that the human body receives from the mobile phone. However, there is still no clear evidence of a direct link between high SAR-levels and increased risk of brain cancer.
