Antivirus companies are more and more loudly sounding the alarm about the constant coming of malicious programs that pose a threat to mobile users. But this does not mean that all criminals get away with it: one of them was caught, and he will have to pay a large fine.

This developer originally from Latvia, but no more information about him not: he knows neither the name nor the country in which he brought to justice. For a long time to sell paid versions of popular applications, including Angry Birds and Cut The Rope. Once downloaded, it became clear that the application does not work, and users instead of the game receiving the flow of premium messages. For each such message to their account removed about 8 dollars.


After some time the application Dummy removed from the online store Google Play (Android Market), a developer somehow calculated. Now he faces a fine of almost 79 thousand dollars. He was also ordered to pay 44,000 dollars affected users.

Google said that it does not check for the application at the time of unloading at Google Play, but in the case reports of oddities in the behavior of applications or cases of possible fraud, the company always tries to respond promptly.
