Canon launched the cloud photo store

Canon has launched a service Project 1709. It is designed to store photos on the Web and their classification, according to Pocket-lint.

Repository stores the pictures uploaded to the computer (via a web interface or through a client), and the pictures published by the user on other websites. Now it is automatically saved photos from Facebook; later to Project 1709 "would tie" and other services. Storage can detect duplicate photos.

Each image can be to be labeled, "tags". Next to the photo display data EXIF. Photos can "share" in social networks or send the link to it in the mail.

Project 1709 operates in beta version. Registration for the service is by invitation only. Full version of the repository will work in 2013.
